The most popular series of Poker tournaments in the world is to have a European part of it. The first
European World Series of Poker starts in Septembre 2007 and consisted of three events held in London. The Main Event with GBR 10,000 buy-in no limit tournament was won by Annette Obrestad on the day before her 19th birthday. So, she made a record as the youngest person ever to win a WSOP bracelet. In 2008 the World Series of Poker Europe, the championship title and money prize took John Juanda.
The WSOPE will go on and will build it`s own history in the next years.  Next World Series of Poker Europe will run in Septembre 2009.
Here some interesting facts around American Main Event:
Since its inception, Stu Ungar is the only player to have won the Main Event three times;
The person who holds multiple WSOP records is Phil Hellmut: most bracelets (11), WSOP cashes (68) and most WSOP final tables (41);
The current Main Event bracelet winner, Peter Eastgate is the youngest person who win the American WSOP Main Event.
Crandoll Adington is the only player to place in the top ten of the World Series of Poker Main Event eight times. Four players have won the main event multiple times: Johny Moss (1971 and 1974), Doyle Brunson (1976 and 1977), Stu Ungar (1980, 1981 and 1997), Johny Chan (1987 and 1988);
